When I came across this product I thought the price was too good to be true since I found most of these cables to be in the $30 range. I am glad that I decided to give it a try because I saved a lot of money and I have not had any problems with the cables yet. The picture on my roommate's HD monitor is great. The only minor complaint I have is that it is difficult to screw/unscrew the little knobs that allow you to plug the cable in, but other than that no complaints.
Everything in my room is pretty much connected to my computer, and I only have PC monitor. My monitor didn't have the right input for the cables that came with the Xbox; but luckily, the monitor did have a DVI and VGA. So I decided to look for a cable to remedy my problem instead of buying a TV. This cable is made just like the Microsoft version allowing you to connect the video through the VGA output and then the audio through the red and white connectors that branch out. I have my PC monitor doing video and my PC handling the audio (which is connected to my speaker system); everything works fine. Why shell out $50+ for the Microsoft brand VGA cables when you can get these for under $10. Great bang for your buck product.
The cable I received has the same outputs and works identically to the Microsoft one. (I have both) The cable casing and plugs however are cheap looking. Its shiny hard plastic and feels much lower quality than the Microsoft one. Mine did have an optical out, though I did not test it.
Functionally with both 360's side by side connected to LCD monitors and Logitech X540/x530 speakers I cannot tell which has the MS cable and which has this one.
If I was on a budget I would defiantly buy this one again. If I was not then I would pick up the Microsoft cable.
I used this to hook my XBOX 360 to a Dell Widescreen (1400x900) PC monitor and it works great. If you don't have RCA audio-in jacks on your monitor you will need a splitter to attach headphones or compatible speakers.
This was well worth my money. The picture is great and the cord is easy to use. I am just using the cord on a regular 21 inch LCD monitor instead of an HD compatible monitor, but all it took was to plug the cords into their respective parts and thats it. Once in the xbox dashboard you can change the resolution of the screen.

Fake DVI Dual-Link cables. Dual-Link is a real thing, so don't get confused here; actually, it's one of the best three consumer display interfaces available right now (and its quality depends on the copper more than the standard, which has excellent implications for specific setups). The problem, though, is that a lot of manufacturers are selling "dual-link" cables that don't even have the extra pins wired! They have the dual-link pins, but if you cut the cable open, it's got no wires running between the pins. They're just dummy pins. Technically, the header is "dual-link," but the VGA Cable itself is single-link and won't support higher resolutions as expected.
