With my wife demanding some time on the large TV in the living room I wanted the option of moving the XBox360 to the den without having to uplug everything and drag cables around, etc.

Plug it all in and it's ready. Just that easy.


The power supply has a built in fan which initially sounded like a good idea. However, what it sounds like is a large vibrating motor buzzing next to the xbox. It's surprisingly loud. Also, there's a constant odd smell almost like burning but not quite. Even with the fan, it can overheat after long periods. We have the xbox in a basement (so cool) and after several hours of children playing rock band, it will eventually red ring the 360. After cooling down, it works fine again. In a way, it's like a built in parent time control.


Just makes it easier to move XBox 360 without having to rerun the cords behind the TV.

AC Power Supply for Microsoft XBOX 360

Well without this then you can't power up your xbox 360, so I have to rate this 5 stars.


I purchased this power supply as a replacement for the original power brick, which exploded. Why can't Microsoft make these things dual voltage to save morons like me the trouble?

The first thing I noticed about my new power supply is that the power cord itself was only two-pronged, lacking the third grounding wire. A cause for concern considering Microsoft OEM power supplies have the grounding wire.

The company that manufactured this power brick has gone to great lengths to keep its name a secret. I could not find a name or logo on the box or on the brick itself, unless it was written in Chinese. Shady.

Powered on the thing makes a horrible racket. I've worked around airplanes quieter than this monster. It honestly sounded like a vacuum cleaner.

Intolerably loud, I didn't feel like waiting for this cheap knock off to catch fire and burn my house down, so I chucked it. Hopefully my genuine Microsoft power brick arrives before Fallout 3 and Left 4 Dead!


I got lucky when I showed up to country because the guy that lived in the CHU before me left his xbox 360. The catch? He burned out the power supply by plugging it straight into a 220v...ouch! Ordered this baby, got a power converter, and from there it was plug and play. Product works great, its basically the same one that originally comes with the 360's. No hiccups as of yet and I've had it for a couple of days. If you need a new power supply, I recommend this one for sure.
