Xbox 360 VGA HD AV Cable

Product Description

Maximize gameplay with mind-blowing high-definition brilliance for VGA displays

Customer Buzz
I ordered these cables to use with my 21 inch LCD computer monitor and they worked really well. I received an Elite X-Box for Christmas so I gave my other X-Box 360 to my wife to use with the computer.

Customer Buzz
Well i have to say this is the best thing i ever have since, the rgb connector but i used a 22 inches monitor and a 19 inch and it works great on both of them
5/5 to me
the only pro is that only is vga and not dvi-i stuff xD

Customer Buzz
I was pleasantly surprised to find that along with the VGA cable they included and RCA-to-headphone adapter so you don't have to go buy one. They also included a VGA male/male adapter so you can attach multiple VGA cords together if the one they give you isn't long enough.

Can't go wrong purchasing the real deal from Xbox. Yeah, sometimes it's a little more expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Customer Buzz
I originally had my Xbox 360 hooked up through component but my HDTV only has space for one component connection and I needed to hook up my cable box to it so I decided to purchase the VGA cable. I have an Olevia 232T and I think the image is clearer and brighter through the VGA cable than through component. I know some people complain about "wash-out" but I felt the image was much more vibrant and vivid through VGA. If you think the image is too bright, you can always turn down the brightness in the game. Great cable and great picture for the price!

Customer Buzz
This package came with everything I needed to use my desktop setup with my 360. the audio and video quality are excellent and it was easy to setup. The only complaint I have is that the cable is quite short at about 3' so if your speaker input is far away from your monitor it could be a problem. Other than that it's a great buy.

Customer Buzz
Like many people have commented, if you use a HD LCD TV with HDMI support, and have a 360 with the HDMI output, you don't need this.

I got a Samsung LN46A650 HD LCD tv on boxing day and had the composite cables with my 360 (non-HDMI capable). The picture was awesome for games, but I also have the HD DVD player and wanted 1080p as well as DVD upscaling (which composite won't do), so I got this cable from Future Shop.

The cable's box is misleading though, as it says it only supports up to 720p, which is not true anymore. This will give you non-HDMI people 1080p and also upconvert your DVD's.

There are no ghosting issues or colour washouts anymore as Microsoft has added some resolution settings to the Xbox to correct this.

Customer Buzz
I highly recommend this for anyone using a LCD Monitor as a screen. This is mainly intended for those seeking fast screen response times from their monitor, as the image undergoes little post-cable processing with the VGA hookup and if you set the resolution to the native display of your monitor, the picture will look great. If you're only interested in picture quality, and don't even know what screen lag is, then use HDMI or Component.

Customer Buzz
The cable is very nice. I'm able to play my 360 on the old VGA monitor I had in storage perfectly.
I'm very happy with the shipping. It arrived about a week after my order.
Price wasn't that bad, either.

Customer Buzz
I was so anxious to see the picture quality compared to my Samsung 52" 1080p DLP and Sony 42" LCD TV using HDMI connections. It took me a minute to install this cable and I must say the picture quality on the 21" LCD is no match for the Samsung and Sony. Picture quality on the Sony looked the best. Even though games don't look as good on the monitor, I will be leaving the xbox connected to it because it's more convenient for me. Maybe I'll get a PS3 to take advantage of the TV.

Customer Buzz
Xbox looks so much better on my HP 22" monitor with this cable than it did with component hookup to my Samsung DLP. Well worth the $15 IMO.

Logitech Harmony Xbox 360 Remote

Product Description

The Harmony 360 Remote Control for Xbox 360 is teh sure way to get more enjoyment out of your Xbox 360 and home entertainment system, without having to juggle a dozen remotes. Just connect the Harmony Remote to your computer and the Web wizard walks you step-by-step through a simple set up. It shows you how to set it up so that it's controlling your TV, DVD or clicking into game mode. Even the most complex home entertainment system is easy to control -- and best of all, you can do it without all the hassle of writing macros.

Customer Buzz
Everyone who's tried to watch TV, play Xbox 360, play Wii, watch a movie etc. at my house has complained about all the remotes. I've resisted getting a universal remote because the ones I've tried in the past never worked well enough for me to put the other remotes away. I've heard good things about Logitech's Harmony remotes, but they are kind of pricey. When I started streaming movies on my Xbox 360, I decided to check out the Harmony remotes again. Well for $69 the Harmony for Xbox 360 seemed perfect.

Setting it up was a breeze. It now controls these devices:
Mitsubishi TV, Pioneer AV Receiver, TiVo PVR, Motorola Digital Cable Box, Philips DVD player, and XBox 360. I added my Nintendo Wii, but unfortunately Nintendo uses bluetooth so the Harmony can't control it. On the plus side, I was able to create an "Activity" for playing Wii which changes the TV's video source properly.

Speaking of Activities, this feature works great. As you would expect choosing an activity like "Watch DVD", turns on the TV, makes sure it is on the right video source, turns on the AV receiver, makes sure it's on the right audio source, and turns on the DVD player. Each activity will have the right combination of buttons controlling the various devices correctly. For instance, after choosing the "Watch DVD" activity, the volume buttons control the AV receiver and the navigation buttons control the DVD player. Also, the LCD screen displays custom soft keys pertaining to watching DVDs (Eject, Chap+, Chap-, Zoom, Subtitle, Audio, etc).

The software works really well. After you enter your devices and choose the activities you want programmed, it walks you through updating the remote. Customizing devices, activities, buttons, etc. is really easy. The default activities work great, but I've been tweaking quite a bit. The software saves all of your configuring so if you have to replace or upgrade your remote you can just transfer your settings.

As you can tell, I really like this product. It has made my life so much easier (and visiting TV watchers happy too).

Customer Buzz
I was a bit hesitant purchasing a tech product that was originally released a couple years ago (2005/2006) but have been completely satisfied with it so far. This remote significantly simplifies my TV setup - eliminating the need to constantly switch between four different remotes for different functions.

I'm using it with a Samsung LN40A550 40" LCD, Samsung HTA100T DVD/speaker system, Comcast/Motorola 3412 DVR, and XBOX 360. This remote works perfectly with all of these. I'm love the ability to completely customize exactly what appears in the LCD options menu and the ability to reorder specific functions.

Bottom line: if you're looking at this product you've probably invested a significant amount of money in your home AV setup. Why not pay $70 bucks to make your devices work together seamlessly?

Customer Buzz
The guy who installed my TV recommended this and I wondered why he spoke so highly of a remote. I mean, it's just a remote, right? I could go on and on, sounding just like my installer, but instead I'll say you won't fully appreciate the Logitech remotes until you have one. They're very easy to program and customize and once you do, you hit one button and the thing does all the work, turning on all the gadgets that need to be turned on to watch TV, a DVD, play a video game, etc. -- and all the gadgets automatically flip to the correct settings so you're ready to go (example: your TV input automatically will jump to the DVD input for watching DVDs and the video game input for playing games). The remote also "learns" commands from your original remotes, meaning in most cases you'll be able to ditch all the other remotes and just use that for your home theater. It even controls my Apple TV.

Customer Buzz
Este si es un producto excelente, se pueden personalizar todos los botones. Permite agragar comandos con el control original. Si no esta la referencia de tu aparato el busca una referencia similar. lo recomiendo 100%

Customer Buzz
Highly recommended, super easy to use, controls all my devices(TV, HDDVD, receiver, 360, and cable box with PVR). Even those who are not electronics saavy will have no problems with remote. It's worth the $130 easy, but for $71.25 shipped you should not pass this one up.

Customer Buzz
Wonderful product, Once you sit down to go through the process of dialing everything in it works great. Amazon shipped fast...

Customer Buzz
I got the remote yesterday when I got home from work. aside from having to use a chainsaw to get into the package i have nothing but good things to say about this remote.

the instructions were easy to follow and it took about 15 mins to be up and running. i tested it out several times and the tv function wasnt working so i hit help and tried again and it worked. then the remote asked me if this fixed it. i said yes and it works perfect now.

When i replace my TV and DVD player and add a stereo i will reprogram the remote and now that i know how easy it is i wont second guess the process and it will only take about 2 mins to set up. it took the most time finding the model #'s on the products.

I have never spent more than $10 on a universal remote. but i decided it was time to take the plunge and get an expensive one, and man did i make the right choice with this remote.

I am on on-line shopper and this is the first review i have ever written on a product.

I LOVE THIS REMOTE!!! and hopefully, you will too.

Customer Buzz
This remote is awesome! I initially purchased it because I was tired of not being able to control my 360 and TV volume from the same remote. The harmony remote works great with our two 360s and has no issues going between them (they are in different rooms). Even better, I just set up my Roomba on the remote!

Would definitely recommend this remote, especially over the basic 360 remote.

Customer Buzz
I was able to get all but 3 items programmed with this remote. Otherwise, its a pretty powerful remote, and works as a Xbox 360 remote flawlessly. The 2 items...

1) I cannot seem to get the remote, when you change "activities", is to transform into the receiving activity remote - it gives you basic commands, but not the entire component's programmed commands...it takes switching to the component's remote setup - 2 extra buttons - this is for going from "Watch 360" and "Watch TV" - it should just switch to the component's programming, not the activity's programming

2) I cannot get the power on/off to hit only the two components I want it to

other than those 2, excellent remote at a great price.

Customer Buzz
I compared all the other harmony remotes before I bought this, but what really made the decision for me was that I have an Xbox 360 and I wanted a remote which took AA or AAA batteries so that I could use my Next Generation Remote Control Extender. For less than $100 I have been able to put together a formidable RF remote that can control every component (except my Wii). The Next Gen Extender works flawlessly with this remote, and I feel like I made the right choice. Here are some of the factors that went into my decision.

In my scenario, I had to have RF on my remote, because all my components are stashed in a closet out of range of IR.

I liked the interface and touchscreen of the Logitech Harmony One Advanced Universal Remote but it lacked RF, and there was no real way to turn it into a RF remote. The Logitech Harmony 880 Advanced Universal Remote Control (Black) (One's predecessor) was a little cheaper, but had the same RF limitation.

The Logitech Harmony 890 Advanced Universal Remote Control and Logitech Harmony 1000 Advanced Universal Remote (Silver) have RF, but at almost $300 that was more I wanted to spend on a remote. Especially the 890 which has been out for several years, and will likely be retired soon. The 1000 is just too big and clunky for my (and especially my wife's tastes).

The Logitech Harmony 550 Universal Remote and Logitech Harmony 520 Advanced Universal Remote - universal remote control ( 966191-0403 ) (close relatives of the xbox 360 remote) were both in the running, and would have worked with my RF extender; however since I have an Xbox 360 I decided to go with the 360 remote.

One of the things which always killed me about my previous "universal" remotes was that when the activity failed, I either had to dig through menus or have the original remote near to turn on/off a single component, or otherwise fix the step in the activity which failed. The "Help" button on the Logitech remote is a welcome feature, and has completely removed my need to keep the other remotes nearby.

I read reviews for other remotes that praised that the remote could be setup without a computer, and that the harmony remotes sucked because you had to use your computer. Really I don't know how you would customize something this complex on a 1 inch screen. I like the configuration utility. It has a wizard mode which gets the basic settings and activities setup, and then you can go back through and tweak/fine tune via the advanced settings.

The activities are easy to setup, and the wizard knows how to create the 4-5 that you will want to setup immediately. I especially like that my wife can watch a movie in surround sound without me having to show her how to turn on the receiver and change the inputs.

I was also a little worried about the XYAB button, because I read a review that I was giving up buttons that are on the other Harmony remotes. I didn't realize that for non-xbox activities/devices I can assign those buttons to whatever I want. I don't feel like I gave up anything.

In the end, I love this remote. It's the only universal remote I've owned which was really universal (except for the Wii).

Ear Force X1 Stereo Headset with Chat

Product Description

Ear Force X1 amplified headphones give serious gamers the ultimate competitive edge by combining Xbox Live chat and stereo game audio into an immersive sound experience.X1's integrated design overcomes the limitation of communicator headsets that block game sound from one Ear and eliminates voice chat interference caused by the headset microphone picking up sound from external speakers.Pump up the volume without disturbing friends, family or neighbors. HEar every nuance of the game - from an opponent sneaking up behind you to your teammate's voice right next to you.Trash talk online. Block out distractions. It's everything you need for an amazing gaming experience.

Customer Buzz
Great product! These headphones are great, very light, great sound and they don't hurt the ears after a long period of playing games, no sweat around the ears also. Great buy! They also work with the Ps3 as well, you just can't use the microphone.

Customer Buzz
I really like this headset, it makes the sounds so real, you can hear footsteps coming up behind you.

Customer Buzz
I bought this instead of the more expensive models as I didn't want to spend more than $50 on a headset. But you get what you pay for. It's very good quality for durability and sound. You can hear EVERYTHING on the map when you play games like Call of Duty or Left 4 Dead. There are a lot of wires but it's not enough to get in your way if you set it up right. My ONLY gripe with the headset is the bass can sometimes overwhelm the other sounds of the game so you have to tinker around with the volume of the game and the volume of the in game chatter. Everything else is good though. The set up is quick and painless unless you don't have a basic concept of english instructions... then you might have a tough time... but if that's the case then perhaps you should stick to a simpler game like hangman or tic tac toe.

Customer Buzz
This product is great! They are great for night time gaming when you don't want to disturb anyone else. The sound quality is amazing. They are extremely comfortable. The sound quality is so good that I am able to locate other players in Xbox Live games. I recommend this product to everyone!

Customer Buzz
I plugged these bad boys in and started playing a game with my user playlist in the background. These are a hell of a pair of headphones. The sound was crisp, the bass was lovely and I was immediately satisfied with my purchase. After that trial, I decided to play a game of Gears 2 Horde mode. I heard every blast, snarl, step, etc. from every angle, it felt like I was actually there. Amazing. On one of the levels I could even hear the frogs as if they were right next to me. I was going to get the X4's at first, but I'm happy I downgraded at the last minute and saved myself the $80. There are people complaining about a hiss noise, but like any pair of sneakers, that problem is easily solved by turning the volume down to a reasonable level. The only problem I see is that there are tons of cords, It's not a problem for me b/c of how I have my set up, but I can see how it would be a problem for others.

I recommend these headphones 100%

For gaming. For music listening. For life.

Customer Buzz

When this worked, it was a fine product. Unfortunately within the first year, my mic was giving me issues. I was always the guy on Live whose mic was giving everyone else static. Then just when the product was a year old the mic went out completely. Their customer service was helpful and sells a replacement part they say would probably fix the problem. The part is $5, but another $7 for shipping (for a tiny part that weighs a couple of ounces if that), and no guarantee that it will fix the problem. I might just go ahead and shop around for another headset with a better warranty, but they don't have much competition.

Customer Buzz
The product works and it really adds alot to your gaming experience.
There is a bit too much bass, but besides that it is an incredible replacement for the headset that comes with the xbox 360.

Customer Buzz
The headset is great but the people are TERRIBLE in their shipping time. It's the worst service I've ever had online. I ordered next day shipping and got it 2 weeks later and didn't get my shipping refunded. Seriously, buy from someone else who'll ship it on time and not when they feel and with the shipping speed they feel is right.

Customer Buzz
I bought these to use with my xbox 360 and loved them at first. Then I noticed that one side was cracking (thinner plastic part on side) and when I put them on, the part that was screwed together (see the pictue to see the screws) pulled apart and I couldn't wear them. I checked the other side and it was cracking in the same exact spot. I went to their website and checked out their warranty and was surprised that the "warranty" doesn't seem to cover anything at all. They lasted about 2 months. What a disappointment.

Customer Buzz
I was looking for a headset for night time gaming on Xbox live, and this seems to be the recommended model. The wire clutter was expected, but mind you, it has three cables (mic, sound, and USB for power) that are each 10 feet or so, so it could get a little crazy.

When plugged in there was a constant hissing sound even when I turn the volume down. As another reader suggested it could have been the controller design, or simply the poor materials chosen to build the electronics for this thing.

My biggest upset was with the chat feature for xbox live. Since the headset sports a great bass output, EVERYONE's voice turned into this deep mumble that did not resemble speech, even after I toyed with all the different possible settings (volume, headset vs. speaker output, etc...). I just could not understand a word that people were saying through Live. Needless to say I returned it.

In a brief summary, great sound through the headphones (although a little hissing), but the terrible way the chat voice is brought out makes this a no no for multiplayer gaming, which is why I bought it in the first place. I highly recommend trying it or buying it somewhere where returns are simple.

Don't buy those expensive "Monster" cables. you'll be amazed by the quality of this product i used it to hook up my xbox 360 to a 42" samsung plasma and the picture is amazing. Highly recommended it's cheap just buy it you won't regret it

Customer Buzz
Great value for the price. Nice looking, heavy duty and believe it or not tv works better with these cable as compared to really cheap ones I had purchased.

Customer Buzz
These cables are fantastic. You get the same resolution as the expensive ones. $10 is sure better than $40 or $50. Just hooked them up so far so good. They are definitely worth a try.

Customer Buzz
I bought 2 Mediabridge cables to connect my PS3 and cable box, and both broke within a month. Don't buy those things....they're terrible! Picture and sound quality was fine for a while but they're connectors are really flimsy where they connect to the wire. This cable was far superior in it's construction (at least from the outside). The connectors are far more flexible where they meet the cable itself and don't feel like they're going to start make crakling noises when they bend a little. That was the last sound I heard when those Mediabridge pieces of junk broke. Both the picture and sound quality with these cables is perfect, especially on BluRay. I cannot imagine that a $100 cable could possibly perform any better. We will see how these hold up, but I am very happy with the quality of this cable so far. One thing that isn't shown in the picture are two cylindrical clip-on things attached towards each end of the cable. I think they help avoid inteference, but I'm not sure. They must be good for something!

Customer Buzz
There are some less expensive choices than this cable, and many much more expensive. This one is better built than most, with a thicker cable. It also has larger grips for the plugs, so make sure you have about 3" clearance. The cool red accent color sets it apart.

CNET tested HDMI cables and found no performance differences. Basically, it is digital in, digital out. The "certified" cables are indeed tested, but maybe those not tested would perform the same.
